Dan Bacon serves as Development Director at M&R Development, leading planning, design, and permitting efforts across the firm’s portfolio of residential, mixed-use, and commercial projects, including The Downs.

With experience in both the public and private sectors, Dan brings a collaborative approach to development, working closely with municipalities, consultants, and internal teams to balance vision with feasibility. His work emphasizes community building, thoughtful design, and sustainable economic development.

Dan holds a Master’s degree in Planning from the University of Massachusetts and a Bachelor’s degree in Government from St. Lawrence University. He is active in numerous professional and civic organizations, including MEREDA, ICSC, and the American Planning Association.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys mountain biking, skiing at Sugarloaf, and traveling with his family.
